Kassem Istanbouli is a Palestinian-Lebanese street theater performer, actor, comedian, and theater director. He was graduated at Beirut University of Fine Arts in 2009 in Theatre Acting and Direction.
His commitment with the social and political reality of Lebanon leadshim to bring theatre performances not only to conventional theatres but also to the streets and to open spaces, where physical and natural environments become an inherent part of the play, where the real people can share these theatrical experiences.
He has founded the Association Tiro for Arts organizing a Short Films Festival in Lebanon every December for 4 days since 2014.
He restored 2 cinemas in the South of Lebanon with his team of volunteers since 2014. Currently he is managing STARS Cinema where he provides theatre and cinema workshops for the inhabitants of the cities of Tyre and Nabatiyeh.
